Day #6: They Didn’t Come Get Me

This morning we went to the International UFO Museum & Research Center in Roswell, NM. If you’ve never heard about it, you can read about the Roswell incident at iufomrc.com. After a couple hours at the museum and gift shop, we headed west. We had originally hoped to make it all the way to Sierra Vista, AZ, but there was a lot of road construction along the way and we spent more time than I’d planned at the White Sands National Monument. What’s that you ask?
The White Sands National Monument is a place where wave-like dunes of gypsum sand have engulfed 275 square miles of desert and have created the world’s largest gypsum dune field. It looks like snow in the middle of the desert. Ironically, the natural wonder is smack dab in the middle of a missile testing facility. As we were gazing at some of natures wonders, several stealth bombers flew over head. In fact, I took a few picts of the plans. However, now I know what it feels like to see a UFO because my picts of the planes look like crap.
We should be in Arizona for the next few days. I want to see:
Sierra Vista
The Painted Desert
The Petrified Forrest
The Meteor Crater
The Grand Canyon
Bryce Canyon
Zion Canyon
Hoover Dam
