Computer Update
Baby computer has been sent off to the Apple Repair Depot for logic board #3. Mind you, the logic board worked when I dropped it off at Apple for service of the HD. As you can probably tell, I am more than just a little upset with Apple at the moment. They also said I qualified for a free disc drive upgrade. Great. Whatever. Frankly, I just want my computer back the way it was so I can use it.
Tekserve has my old HD. After more research, they seemed like the best choice for data recovery. They are supposed to recover the whole drive for $500. Since I don’t have the computer back yet and had to buy another drive to store the recovered data, I’ll be out well over $1,000 when it is all said and done. In the meantime, I’ve spent almost 2 full days working on my old Mac from work, which I now affectionately call “NeglektraMac,” trying to get her up and running so that I can get some work done.
Enough complaining about my baby Mac.
Tomorrow morning I am going with Heidi to Ohio for her sister’s graduation and a friend’s wedding. I’ll be back on Sunday.
