Stuff No One Cares About
So, why I haven’t I posted anything in the past few days? Well, mostly because I’ve not really done much that anyone would care to read about. That said, here’s a bunch of stuff that no one will really care about but me.
I hate my webhosting company, Globat. They are very reasonably priced, but they do not understand how important my email is to me. For the past couple of months, my email has been unavailable at least once every couple of weeks. Furthermore, they seem very unconcerned every time I alert them to an outage. Bad. Very bad. Now, I can’t seem to send anything to any @yahoo.com. At first, they were taking an abnormally long time to deliver, but now they are simply getting rejected. I assume our mail servers have been tagged a spam senders, but frankly I pay them to deal with this sort of thing before it becomes a problem. This is not helping me find a job. Do you know how many people have @yahoo.com addresses?
Monday I had a midterm. I hate tests. I hate the feeling I get when I finish taking an exam or midterm. No, it is not as bad as the feeling I have when I am actually studying for a test, but that is not my point. I think some people actually feel better when they finish taking a test; some feel a sense of relief when the test is over. I never feel that way. I always feel like I studied a lot for nothing. I never really know how I did until I get the test back. Even with the class I am taking now, Macroeconomics. Since I am not working, I actually read all of the materials. I even read some of them twice. I had time to study and everything. Was the test hard? I don’t think so. How did I do? I still have no idea. I always feel frustrated and behind b/c I put everything on hold to prepare for the test. Then I am behind on everything else as soon as the test is over.
It looks like I may do a freelance project in the fashion industry. Yeah, me + fashion. Funny, eh? It is actually pretty cool. I’ll probably share some insight on this later, but right now it is still in the very early stages and I don’t want to jinx it. I’ll just say that I am kinda excited at the prospect of doing some work.
