Hawaii Day #3: Circle Island Tour

Today we took the best tour ever. Literally. I’ve now visited almost every state in the US and Shannon O’Brein of E Noa Tours was the most entertaining tour guide that I have ever had. Thank you, Shannon.
In the first 5 minutes, he circled the block to show us 1.) where they delivered miniture soaps and shampoos to the hotel 2.) the ancient Hawaiian restaurant, “Denny’s” and 3.) where our hotel was located. I was about to bust a gut laughing. (He had to circle the block because of several one-way streets near our hotel.)
The tour took us approximately 120 miles around the perimeter of O’ahu. We saw:
* Slopes of Diamond Head
* Kahala (Hawaii’s Beverly Hills)
* Hanauma Bay
* Halona “Blow Hole” Lookout
* “From Here To Eternity” Beach
* Sandy Beach
* Makapu’u Lookout
* Waimanalo Hawaiian Homestead
* Nu’uanu Pali Lookout and Valley
* Rain forests
* Ko’olau Mountains
* Moli’i Gardens, Macadamia Nut Hut & Fish Pond at Kualoa Ranch (film set for Jurassic Park, Pearl Harbor, etc.)
* North Shore surfing beaches
* Pineapple and agriculture fields
* Dole Plantation
Later, as we were driving through a national park, which had a lot of bamboo, he told everyone that it was marijuana and that the field had been exposed by Cheech and Chong in a 1975 issue of National Geographic.
