There’s a guy at the subway stop near my office. He’s been there for years. I call him the Subway Socrates. He looks pretty normal, but he strolls around the platform pontificating about either 1.) current events or 2.) lesbians. When I passed him on Friday, he said, “Hillary is part of the lesbian conspiracy [...] Thanks to whoever posted the Nostalgia Train schedule online and my new and improved Google Search for Blackberry, I think I am going to be able to catch another one of the nostalgia trains on my way home today. I walk by a girl with spandex, too much makeup and big hair, standing in front of the beer section. I literally heard her have the following conversation with herself out loud: Where’s the PBR? I can’t believe they don’t [...] After dating for somewhere between 5 and 6 years, I have finally asked Heidi to marry me. I did it a week ago Sunday at Washington Square Park. While developing this master plan, I decided that I wanted to do it somewhere that was very New York. We got there around 10 PM and the line was still around wrapped around the block (literally.) The glass cube that’s above ground is pretty impressive. Guys, I don’t think most of you are ready for this. Yesterday, Heidi and I went shopping. At the jewelry store. Don’t worry. Just browsing at the moment.
