Growing Concern
I’m in to week #2 at the new job. This morning I still had a smile on my face when I went to work (and that was even after a long weekend.) So far, so good. Everyone’s been incredibly nice. While I am still excited about the challenges ahead, I am growing a little concerned about the following facts:
- at Legacy, there’s one person (me) where we had an entire New Media department at Elektra
- at Legacy, we will have approximately 200 releases this year, where at Elektra we averaged 35
- at Legacy, the majority of the sites are flat file instead of database driven.
Whew! (Good thing I had some time off before I started this new gig.) Wish me luck!
P.S. Did mention I’ll probably end up being responsible for integrating the entire catalog from both label groups into 1 shared system and migrating all our sites into a new infrastructure? On that note, I’m going to bed.
