I Finished the Paper
I finished the term paper and started my next class tonight. No rest for the weary. This is a short course. It only meets twice a week for 6 weeks, but the pace is pretty tough. I was already supposed to have read 150 pages before tonight’s class. We’re to have read another 2 chapters and submitted a proposal for our final group project by the next class, which is Wednesday.
Today Matt Ayer reminded me of something I did as a kid. I had emailed him to show him some pictures and thank him again for taking us for a ride on his fire truck. (We were in Seattle a year ago today.) I knew that he’s a pretty big Star Wars fan, so I asked him if he already had his tickets.
His response:
looking forward to it, in spite of myself. got tix for noon thursday, so everybody here will just love me that afternoon…i’ll either be bouncing off the walls (ZAP! zeeoww! i am your father!) or mopey and sullen. in either case, i probably won’t get much work done.
If you only knew Matt, you would certainly appreciate this. I’m sure he’ll be bugging the hell out of people he works with, with all sorts of sound effects. Let’s hope he doesn’t hurt himself.
That immediately reminded me of when I went to go see the Karate Kid when I was a kid. After watching the movie, I somehow managed to kick the faucet off the bathtub by accident. (Can you say crane kick?) Needless to say, my mother was not very pleased with me.
Matt also reminded me that I needed to post picts from Michael and Robyn’s wedding. I had resized them and everything, I just hadn’t posted them.
