The Biz
I guess I am running a little behind on the latest news. Apparently there’s this new online reality show coming up with Warner Music. Think The Apprentice, but in the music biz.
Per www.thebiz.com:
The Biz is an exciting new Web-based reality show and competition that will find the next generation of players to shape the music business. Contestants from across the country will compete for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to found and run their own record label. Under the guidance of seasoned music business executives, The Biz’s contestants will learn the ropes or hit the road. In the end, our judges will find the tastemaker who can produce the music talent.
The Biz will bring the coolest aspects of reality TV-the competition, the personalities, the drama-to the Web. Video segments will be updated daily, along with contestant blogs, photos, quizzes, polls, and music. It’s like a 24/7 Biz party, and you’re invited.
Man, I hate that I am not eligible b/c of my previous employment with Warner. I’d love the opportunity to spout off about what I think. Can you imagine an entire series dedicated to me hanging with Lyor?

When I first heard about this show, I wanted to scratch my own skin off. That’s how the thought of being a part of it made me feel. Ecchhhhh…
