The Reunion Recap

The class reunion was a success. We had a fairly small turnout, as expected. However, also as expected, everyone who came had a great time.
It was great to catch up with old friends and rehash stories from the past. Obviously, I enjoyed high school but I’m not one of those people that’d say high school was the best time of my life. I still have too much fun for that to be the case. Still, I think only another fellow band geek would appreciate the fact that I convinced my gf to join a drum corps.
After thinking about it, not only did I go to high school with some of these kids, I’ve actually known some of them from the time I was 3 or 4 years old. In fact, in some cases, our families have been friends for generations. It made me happy to see everyone all grown up and doing their own thing.
I guess it goes without saying, I am also very happy to just be done with it. I love being busy and feeling productive, however these past few months have just been out of control. I’d like to go home and watch TV just one night without feeling guilty. I really can’t remember the last time that happened. It certainly won’t happen before the end of the year, with school in full swing.
I am also pleased to share that a couple of my classmates agreed to join in the fun and plan the next reunion. We voted to skip the 15 year reunion and just do a 20.

Hey Sam
Being one of those whos known you since like kindergarden. Remembering the days of the neon green electric gituar. It is nice to see how you have done well for yourself and seeing you at the reunion. My wife wont let me forget about the story you told about the 4th grade. Me and Kim had a blast. To bad Michal had to be his normal drunk loud self. LOL
