Even Better

The SMS posting didn’t work so well b/c of character limit. Posts had to be 160 characters or less. This is an email post. Should be a little better.
Been out of town for the past week. Spent some time with the fam in VA. Visited Colonial Williamsburg, Water Country USA, Busch Gardens, Jamestown and Yorktown. My Great (x7) Grandpa immigrated to the US through Jamestown in 1651. We visited a church where they had his name up on the wall. Very interesting. The Poindexters came through Jamestown in the 1650s, the Johnsons came through Charleston in the 1750s, and the Gomezs came through Greensboro in the 1970s.
Had a great time VA, but I have to reiterate: everything should be connected to the Internet at all times. I made sure that I made reservations at a hotel with dataports standard in every room. I didn’t realize that meant a phone jack. It was just a pain b/c I had promised to help my mom buy something online. ( I don’t even know how to connect via dial up anymore - I’d have to look it up on the Internet!) It just reminded me of a time when you had to go to the store to buy things and go to the library to do research. That seems like ages ago.
