Christmas in the Southland
I was up, showered and dressed by 8:15 this morning. Marvin was here by 9. After he left, I ran to my sis’s house to see what the kids got from Santa. Then I was back here by noon to spend the day with the fam. We ate, exhanged gifts, napped, played games and ate again. Everyone left around 8 this evening. Then I spent some time with my mom and we started putting together a puzzle. Yes, a puzzle. Is there a bigger, more frustrating waste of time? Probably not. Still, it is very nice to have a few extras hours to waste on such non-sense.
This year’s best gift: a picture of my dad. From what I gather, they found an old slide of my dad while they were going thru some of Aunt Brice’s stuff. I think we may call Paraguay tomorrow.
In other good news, I can now turn my head to the left w/o screaming in pain. This progress may be short-lived b/c tomorrow I have to move furniture out of Brice’s old townhouse. Man, I hate moving furniture.
One more interesting point: Heidi’s sister Heather just got engaged. This news was quite unexpected.
