I Hate My Laptop, Too
Robin, I didn’t know our laptops were union. This morning my laptop’s display died. After I confirmed it was only the display and not a HD failure, I ran straight to TekServe. As always, they were very courteous and professional. Curtis, my new best friend, experienced the same things that I saw. Then he took my baby computer to the work bench where it began to work again. He logged it as an intermittent problem. We agreed that I would go home, make a backup and bring the machine back. Of course, I can’t get it to start again now and if I do get it to start, it freezes in a few minutes. The symptoms are exactly the same as when I had the last two logic boards replaced. Great. Right now I have the iBook hooked to my desktop as a slave. It seems to be working while I make yet another backup. I am again going to be without my laptop. This really does not help my job search.
