Day #1 @ the New Job
Day #1 wasn’t too bad, actually. I still have a smile on my face, (I think. Let me check. Yes.) I met like hundred people yesterday. Of course, I only remember like three names and I think they’re matched to the wrong face. I even started a new routine yesterday. It involves getting up early to eat breakfast, hop on the exercise bike, shower and shave all before work. We see which fades first, the smile or routine. (I think they’ll probably both go around the same time.) I know this new regiment hinges on what time I go to bed. I was a little concerned about this, but after getting up early, going to work and sitting thru class, I didn’t really have any trouble going to be early last night. When did I turn into an old man? Speaking of becoming an old man, my birthday is right around the corner. I plan to have a party. Details forthcoming.
BTW, for those of you who used to work with me and missed getting Valentine’s candy yesterday, please know that I was thinking of you. I brought Reese’s Miniatures to the office today and sent out a departmental email in hopes some of my new co-workers would come in and befriend me. So far, I have had a handful of nice responses, but no takers on the offer. (I think eating a whole bag of Reese’s Miniatures might work against my new morning regiment.)
