And Then Some Days I Really, Really Hate the Subway
I have decided that I must be made out of NYC Subway Kryptonite. Thursday, it took me an hour and a half to get into Manhattan - a ride that should take 20-30 mins. When I reached the subway station, I found that there were no Manhattan bound trains running on the R, E or V lines. I had to take a R train further out into Queens to catch a 7 train. Why does this always seem to happen to me?
Anyway, after I finally got there, we all had a really nice time bowling at Port Authority. It was great to see some of the old gang.
Highlights/Lowlights:
- I got to see Oscar, who I don’t think I’d seen in a couple of years
- By the color of Sherika’s cheeks, I think she found her drink limit: one.
- Gillespie partied too hard the night before and had to back out
- Robin found her “lucky spot.” Apparently, it is a Port Authority. Interesting.
- I didn’t even break 75 during the second game
I met up with Nik afterwards. Nik was a former intern of mine. (Yes, just for the record, it is ok for former interns to take me out - especially when I am unemployed.) Next week he’s moving to London for a year. Nik, I am listening to iTunes right now.
