Did I Mention That I Love Friendster?

This week I’ve found a few more college buddies on Friendster. One girl now lives back in Hawaii, where she grew up. Like I needed a reason to visit Hawaii some day! I also heard from yet another friend who is moving to London. Who would have thought I would have so many friends spread throughout the world? I need to win the lottery or something so I can go visit them all. Wait, aren’t all the lottery winners on TV guys who just lost their jobs? (Remind me to buy a lottery ticket.)

Monday I took the Macroeconomics final. I’m not sure how I did, but I am sure glad I’m done. All sections of the intensive course I’d planned to take in September are full, so I may not be able to take another one until classes start back in the fall. (Oh darn.)

Tuesday I’d planned to go to Great Adventure, but as it turns out all my friends love their jobs more than they make out. No one wanted to blow off work to take a play day. I really wanted to go, but I did the adult thing and used the time to finish up the the fashion project that I’ve been working on. Last night Heidi and I went rollerblading. We started down at Bowling Green and went all the way up the West Side Highway, past the boat basin. BTW, obviously I don’t watch a lot of Sex in the City because I had no idea Trapeze School was such the in thing. Why didn’t someone tell me? I would have been all over that like a NJ Governor. (We passed a school on the West Side Highway.)

Aspirations - One Boy’s (dorky) Dream

I’ve always wanted to learn to play the drums. In high school, I was too busy playing guitar in different bands. In college, I was too busy trying to pass. When I started to work, I was too busy trying to get ahead. And then, I started back to school. Anyway, it hit me the other day that I should use some of this time off to take some lessons or something, so I went online and bought a practice pad, some sticks and books. Heidi brought it to my attention today that I can spend hours on end practicing music, but I view studying for more than 15 mins as a fate worse than death. I asked her what her point was.

Oh, a friend of a friend is taking a road trip sorta like I did a few months ago. His name is Hugh and his blog is pretty darn good.

About Sam Gomez

This is my lil' workshop on the web. I created it to let my friends and family know what's going on with me. It quickly became a place for me to rant about my feelings and publicly humiliate myself - not that I needed yet another medium. Generally, I just share whatever is on my mind (stories, photos, etc.) Read the full about me.
