Master Plan
I know that my unemployed status is only temporary and in a few months I’ll reflect on this process from a position of respect, power and responsibility. At that point I will understand how all of the positions I’ve interviewed for thus far, would have prevented me from fulfilling my true destiny. However, in the meantime, it sure sucks having to prove my talents and abilities with seemingly fruitless results.
Don’t get me wrong, most everyone has been quite positive. They truly believe, that based on my experience, I am just not quite the right fit. I just wish that I could better convey my competencies and level of adaptability. I did Interactive Media at Elektra because it was something needed during a dynamic time in the business. Of course, as someone freshly out of college, it was a great place to be. I was able to build a reputation and move up within the organization. But, dammit, I am not just a computer guy! In fact, before the Internet, I’d never even really touched a computer.
I can do anything, if only given the chance.
