Christmas Update
I really hate getting behind on my updates, because nothing seems quite a funny after the fact. I had this whole rant on how Santa’s reindeer must partake in performance enhancing drugs in order to fly and how Rudolf’s red nose must be a sign of something a little more hardcore. Sadly, the jolly, fat bastard with the rose-colored cheeks did not deliver the main thing on my list, nonetheless I did have a very nice Christmas. (I guess the elves had just as much trouble as George W, creating jobs this year.)
Heidi and I spent 4.5 days in NC. We spent 2 full days with the fam, I spent one day sick and we spent the other day running a bunch of errands that needed to be complete by the end of the year. It was a very quick and productive trip. We got to spend some quality time with the fam and Heidi even got to meet a couple of my NC friends, Andy and Greg. We each took a turn telling stories from the good ol’ days. Of course, these stories get a little bigger and better each time they’re told. Why is this?
Right now I’m in Ohio. Heidi’s little sister gets married today. We’ve spent the last several days with her family, helping prepare for today’s festivities. (The twin sis just got married a few weeks ago.) We’re staying with her dad, along with 10 other folks. Luckily, it is a pretty big house, so we’re not all right on top of one another. Last night I learned to play Texas Hold’em, making good on one of my final New Year’s Resolutions from 2004.
