When and Where: The Metric System
Between using Km instead of miles and military time instead of two 12 hour periods, I’ve given up asking “How much further?” and “When will we be there?” I barely even know what day it is because they put the day before the month when writing the day. Oh. And you can forget about knowing the temperature.

It is customary in the military to indicate today’s date as 20 APR 06, making it unambiguous. the 24-hour format makes more sense than the 12-hour format favored by US civilians. Metric is the world standard. For some reason, the USA, the richest nation, is lagging behind the rest of the world
