The Economy
Heidi and I are already pretty thrifty, but now - thanks to the media - I am actually AFRAID to spend money. I didn’t realize this at first. It hit me a couple of weeks ago when the new Mac came out. I wanted to buy a new computer. For at least a year, I have been deleting semi-important files, just so I had enough room to install system updates. (Yes, I have an external drive, but that is not the point.) A few weeks ago, Apple released a new 12 MacBook. It has virtually everything that I need and I have the money, but after looking at it for several weeks, I finally just decided to upgrade my internal harddrive. This is like getting recaps instead of new tires. I feel like everyone is making these same decisions - whether it is deciding if shoes will make it a few more months, the coat will make it another season or the car will make it a few more years. It creates a whole snowball effect. I am kinda afraid for Black Friday.
(At least I have the computer back in working order.)
