This Week on the LIRR
I just kinda got kicked off the train.
As usual, the ticket guy came by to punch my ticket. When he got to me, he kept making some sort of weird sign to me. When I asked what he was talking about, he said it was December.
Umm, Ok?
Then it hit me! I forgot to buy a December ticket!
I asked him how much it was to buy a ticket on board.
$15
After looking in my wallet, I realized that I did not have enough cash on me to buy the ticket.
I asked if they took credit cards on board.
Of course, they don’t.
I asked him to come back so I could look through my bag and all my pockets.
He agreed.
Of course, I recently cleaned out my bag, so it turns out that I didn’t have anything hidden away.
I made it through all the derailments and delays from the last few weeks and then this happened.
What annoyance.
I had to get off the train so that I could go buy a ticket from the machine with my credit card.
To make matters worse, after I bought the ticket and waited for another train, the ticket guy on the next train didn’t even look at my ticket!
